I don’t consider myself to be extremely fashionable. I don’t scour the runways for inspo, keep up with magazines, or stan designers. I don’t meticulously put together outfits every morning. Building a capsule wardrobe – All black in a chilly building

Capsule wardrobes always fascinated me because it doesn’t seem like a lot of clothes, but you can get so many combinations out of them! They’re also great for when you’re limited by dress code. I’ve been wanting to build one for a while….but it’s hard to do without specific guidelines. But now I have two- the dress code at my work is all black or mostly black. PLUS, the building is kept very chilly.

Strict dress code? Have no fear!

The anarchist in me is ranting about how the purpose of dress codes is to keep all workers the same. We’re all equally disposable and replaceable. There is nothing special about us as individuals, so we should just keep our heads down and work. However, the realist in me recognizes that workplace culture can make or break a company. And dress codes are a part of that culture. This week, I’ve come up with several tips to not feel like a robot in dress code.

A rookie cosplayer’s guide to getting started

I’ve mentioned in my Summer Activities post that my friends and I will be taking a trip to Montreal this weekend. We’re going to Otakuthon (an anime convention held there) as well as doing some sightseeing. I’m particularly excited for Poutineville!
