It’s no secret that I’m an avid shoe lover. Of course, I play the game where I guess what a person is like based on their shoes. Here are more of my observations. Give part 1 a read if you haven’t seen it yet!
Hello and happy summer, my fashion babes! It is time again for my monthly OOTD recap. This month, I often found myself going grungy one day and going elegant the next. It was a month of bold prints, another hair change, a new piercing, and the colour of my soul- black.
The fashion industry can be a vicious pit of consumerism and lifestyle marketing. But to me, fashion is first and foremost a form of self expression. Somehow, it has become rebellious to be individualistic when the media pushes for conformity. This week, I’m sharing some common traits of fashion rebels.
I keep telling myself to shop more at mid-range stores like Topshop and M Boutique so I’d feel more like an adult. But wherever there is a big sale, I’m a moth to the flame. It’s just part of my bargain hunting DNA! Anyways, for any Toronto ladies reading, I totally recommend checking out the closing sale at this Urban Planet. The entire store is $10 or less! And very select items like some jeans and outerwear are $20.
To be honest with you, I feel like I’ve been wearing nothing but clothes that look like pajamas. So I decided to do something different with my usual end-of-month-OOTD post. Instead of sleep shorts, my dad’s old hoodie, and the same few shirts (I assume nobody wants to see that, but correct me if you do), you’ll be seeing the more polished looks that I could’ve worn. Because I ain’t about bending the truth!
Styling challenges are always fun for me. I’m a firm believer in finding new combinations with my current wardrobe and showing some love to my under-worn pieces. I’ve had this maxi dress for about two years and have only worn it 2-3 times. To be honest, I’ve hardly ever worn maxi length anything. People tell me that I should since I have long legs, but I’ve always had trouble styling the dress. So here are my attempts at three different looks.
I woke up this morning and immediately sneezed 10 times. Then, I opened a snapchat from a friend with hay fever. Spring is finally here to stay, so it’s time for another trend report! Some of these trends I absolutely adore, and others aren’t for me. Here are some common patterns I’m noticing off the street that seem to make a comeback every year.
We’re finally getting some sun back in Toronto! April was a weird month. It was almost spring and then it wasn’t. My top outfits this month prioritized keeping warm, but still using trendy pieces. Bear with me if I seem less perky/bubbly than usual, it’s been a weird couple days and I’m trying to let go of negativity while learning from the situation.
I am writing from my couch today with a sore throat and just feeling blah overall ): So bear with me if anything I say in this post sounds loopy. First and foremost, what I’d wear to a date really depends on where we’re going. There are two types of settings: casual ones where you can throw something on, and more upscale ones where you have to put more effort into.
Is it spring yet? Oh wait…. still feels like 0 degrees. Too bad, I’m going to break out the tights and dresses anyways. As opposed to last month’s most frequent OOTD’s (which was about less is more), this month I gravitated towards brighter colors, frills, and more accessories. Here are my favorite outfits of March!
